Renowned chef João Faraco and his staff bring a fresh menu to a new venue in the Plaza del Arte, Puerto Calero.
Positive reviews in the Repsol Guide, the Michelin Guide’s Bib Gourmand or Restaurant Guru, only serve to reinforce João Faraco’s passion for his work and attention to detail. He now brings this philosophy to the next phase of his project, Coentro, opening its doors in the Plaza del Arte in Puerto Calero, on the 17th July.
This will not only be a new location for Coentro, but a new menu, with a selection of rice dishes, available on Sundays, as well as the chef’s recommendations, each based on the finest seasonal products. Ardent followers won’t be disappointed to find some firm favourites still available, such as the cod fritter, cocoa-braised cheeks with creamed potatoes or salmorejo with a touch of passion fruit.
João Faraco was awarded Best Chef of the Canary Islands in 2018 and recognises himself as a someone with an eternally inquisitive nature, committed to avant-garde cuisine with sound foundations. His Brazilian origin and international experience emerge in an eclectic menu and intense flavours, where he seeks to entertain and provoke, while always committed to producing great dishes.
Reservations can be made through the website: www.restaurantecoentro.com or by phone (and whatsapp): 676 833 799.
Coentro is located in Plaza del Arte (Local 11) in Puerto Calero, in a quiet and sheltered setting with a large and attractive terrace and ample nearby parking.
Calero Marinas welcomes Coentro’s commitment to open a new restaurant in the group’s flagship marina. The presence of a chef of João Faraco’s standing further enhances Puerto Calero’s reputation for fine dining.
