Successful event promotors Grand Pavois Organisation, well known to the Calero team due to having brought with various editions of the Mini Transat to Puerto Calero, have now joined forces with world-renowned shipyards such as Fountaine-Pajot, Amel, Bénéteau, Jeanneau and Alubat for a new transatlantic rally, the Rallye des Iles du Soleil; encouraging blue water sailors to hitch a ride with the Trade Winds and follow the winter migratory route towards the sun.
The rally will depart from Marina Lanzarote on Saturday 18th November and sail approximately 2800nm to Marie-Galante in Guadeloupe. Prior to the start, the fleet will spend a week in the popular Arrecife marina, having safety checks and event briefings, preparing their boats and visiting the island.
This Transatlantic sailing event is open to all sailors, monohulls and catamarans with minimum length overall of 35 feet (10.60 metres) and maximum of 65 feet (19.80 metres). A minimum of four people is required to participate, observing maximum safety considerations.
